Confluence is when a Wayfarer meets with one of the Ancestors and learns a part of Rythulia's history.

Development[edit | edit source]

See: The beta, Prototypes

In early versions of the game, Ancestors would come to meet players in the physical world. If two players were there, both would be in the same meeting. In some versions, Ancestors would even have visible symbols, which they'd give to the players before vanishing.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

The word "confluence" refers to when two or more things come together, as in a meeting between people, or when rivers join.

When Bob first pulls up the image for the final Confluence, the Wayfarer is lacking the white 'dot' that represents their life force. This is because the image is technically the part of the Confluence board one used for the fifth Confluence, which normally uses its own, glowing effect for your light. The Tower specific confluence board is swapped in as soon as the camera angle changes.

If your scarf is long enough during the final Confluence, you might see the end of it hanging down - presumably, it's hanging over the edge of the stairs that you're standing on.

In the main file used for Confluences, Ancient Rythulians are a sandy-brown color.
